RG-projects played an important role in both the development- and implementation phase. The development of the routes for the export cable connections, the permit applications as well as the environmental management, contributed towards the project’s financial closure. After financial closure, RG-projects remained involved in this 2.8 billion project on the mentioned aspects and ensured the overall project management, the installation of the wind farm cables and the commissioning of the turbines.

Gemini is the largest offshore wind farm in the Netherlands with its own high-voltage connection. This 600 MW wind farm consists of 150 wind turbines, two platforms and 220kV connections of 300 MW each, connecting through the transformer station in the Eemshaven to the national 380 kV high-voltage grid.
